Several manual therapy styles are blended to address each individual’s unique need.

Susan draws on her formal training in multiple modalities, personal experience as a massage client, and over 26 years of experience with manual therapy treatments to address a vast array of issues and concerns for her clients. Clients can schedule single sessions or maintain a standing weekly or monthly session program. Sessions are scheduled in Brooklyn or Manhattan, in home and work settings or at Susan’s place.
Myofascial Release: gentle application of sustained pressure to release tension and constrictions in the fascia accumulated due to trauma, posture, or inflammation. Fascia is connective tissue surrounding muscles, bones, nerves, and organs of the body. Sometimes considered “deep tissue.”
Swedish Massage: manual techniques incorporating gliding, kneading, tapping, vibrating, friction and compression strokes assisting return flow of blood to the heart, and the release of tension and pain.
Shiatsu: a Japanese healing technique utilizing pressure and stretches following the lines of energy or meridians of acupuncture to create balance throughout the body.
Reiki: gentle laying on of open palm hands on or just above the body, facilitating energy flow and balance in the client.
